Introduction
Needs are the basic human requirements. People need food, air, water, clothing, and shelter to survive. People also have strong needs for creation, education, and entertainment. Human needs are states of felt deprivation.. The extended form of needs are health and education which for sure every on basic need in today’s world but they come after food, cloths and shelter. Marketers play no role in creating needs, they are natural default requirements of every human being. Organization already knows the needs there is no requirement for any research work to develop product which covers the needs of human beings.
The above needs become wants when they are directed to specific objects that might satisfy the need. Wants are shaped by one's society. Wants are the form human needs take as they are shaped by culture and individual personality. Wants are marketed by marketers in such a way that everyone feel these wants should be mandatory part of life. We can take the examples of telephone, Internet, different variety of foods and clothing these all come under umbrella of human wants.
But there is a vital distinction. Needs tend to be more objective requirements while wants are more emotional.
Example:
  • I want sweets but I need vitamins.
  • I need to be a great presenter because I want a lot more money.
  • Any person can eat food to feed himself, but he want to eat fast food, fried rice and Chinese food. Cloths are required for a person to cover himself but we can see people wearing jeans, suit just because of culture influence.

Dominance of wants over needs. As the society progresses on Maslow's hierarchy from physiological and safety-security needs to love, affection, and self-esteem needs, psychological wants will come to dominate the consumer motivations over the physiological needs. It is no exaggeration to state that as an affluent nation, America is a want-driven rather than a need-driven society.

Needs and Wants In Global Perspective
The technology can be located in virtually any geographic area. It requires much less dependence on such natural resources as water, air, and energy. All it needs is skilled labor and supply of man-made resources. Therefore, it is a worldwide technology rather than being limited to those geographical areas that have unique natural resources. This also means that a company must take a global perspective with respect to manufacturing and distribution of its products and services.
The demand-oriented demographic changes and the supply-oriented technological changes in consumer marketing are so dramatic that they must be called megatrends. Furthermore, these megatrends in consumer marketing are highly universal in their impact on diverse consumer products, companies, and industries. Finally, these megatrends are likely to persist well into the twenty-first century.
It will become increasingly difficult for some companies to survive and grow as the consumer markets shift from need-driven to want-driven markets, for several reasons. First, products acquire want-driven utilities through their associations with socioeconomic and other reference groups or with imageries and personalities, rather than through their inherent functional benefits. Therefore, wants are harder to engineer in products and services. Indeed, it is precisely this shift from a need-driven to a want-driven society that is largely responsible for the failure of technologically driven products and market programs. Therefore, more and more what will be required will be an understanding of the psychology of the markets rather than of the physiology of markets.
Second, people are likely to be more divergent on what they want than on what they need. It will therefore become increasingly difficult to mass market want-driven products and services. Will have to be learned in place of product specialization and mass marketing. Indeed, it will become necessary to utilize pull strategies in place of push strategies in marketing.
Finally, wants are more dynamic and volatile than needs. Whereas needs are fairly stable and consistent over longer time periods, wants tend to rise and subside much faster. This fact suggests that consumer marketing will manifest shorter and shorter product, image, and competitive positioning life cycles. Indeed, it means that consumer marketing companies will have to plan major technological and marketing innovations with shorter payback periods.

Pluralism in our values, lifestyles, and behavior is likely to increase because of greater tolerance for individualism and personalized consumption. Furthermore, the electronics age permits marketers to cater profitably to smaller and smaller market segments. Therefore, it can be expected that the next two decades will see increasing desire not to assimilate unique market segments into the mainstream mass markets but to cater to their needs and wants as specialty segments. These include ethnic groups such as blacks, Hispanics, Orientals, and Asians as well as more traditional European ethnic groups. These people all have unique needs and wants either due to biogenic needs or due to unique settings in which they live or work.
No single marketing approach is likely to be sufficient in the future, simply because markets are becoming more and more divergent with respect to wants, needs, and buying power. Therefore, a single way of doing business is unlikely to appeal to all market segments.
In particular, per capita consumption is likely to grow for consumer durables, professional and personal services, packaged foods industries, and leisure. For example, the concept of a family car is likely to give way to a personal car. Therefore, the demand for station wagons should decline and demand for personal cars should increase over time. In other words, the issue facing the automobile industry is not just the size of the automobile but also the type of the car demanded by the market place. Similarly, cameras, radios, television sets, and other brown goods are also likely to become per capita products.

Conclusion
Understanding people’s needs and wants is not always simple. Some peoples have needs of which they are not fully conscious, or they cannot articulate these needs, or they use words that require some interpretation. If you happen to market a mature product that is a need, you are likely closer to a commodity. The best path is to convert a need into a want so that you can appeal to the individual’s emotional desires. Together, wants and needs help set each of us in a direction. They help us understand what the customer values most. Collectively, they form the context into which we must insert our marketing messages. In practice it is impossible to draw the line at which absolute needs are met. Different measures have been produced at different times to define minimum levels of well-being below which people can be said to be living in poverty. Such measures produce an absolute standard which can be called the 'poverty line'.

Basic understanding of marketing thought.
1.0 IS MARKETING PRACTICE THAT NECESSARY IN BUSINESS?
According to Wikipedia Encyclopedia, marketing ethics or marketing behaviors is a subset of a business ethics and marketing in practices deals with the principles, values and ideals by which the marketers also the marketing institutions ought to acts in the business institutions. Marketing ethics is one of the way to performing the Marketing. Marketing can be define as a process of a performing market research, selling product or services to customers and promoting them by advertising to generates a relation between business and customers (Wikipedia, 2011).

In my point of view, business and marketing is very close relationship. Business will need marketing to promote their products or services. Marketing will make a connection for the business product to the customer directly. The content in the marketing that will enhance the needs and wants that will become the demand for the product or services that the business provides. As an example, we look into the business and marketing in the mobile network and internet services, Maxis Communication Berhad, established since 1993 and well known in 2002. At the beginning of their process to join the telecommunication market, they have struggled with so many barriers, now their name has been toughly standing among the top telecommunication provider in Malaysia. How do they becoming like that? From here marketing also play as an important role to make sure the business to provide the satisfying needs and wants for the customer demands. Marketing will look through the customer needs and wants in order to make sure the customer always want their services and products and always the customer will build a strong relationship with them (kotler, 2011). Marketing is a component in the business that can never be separated. When there are businesses, marketing will take part to generate the business to the customer.
2.0 Marketing efforts
Managing the marketing efforts is also important to the business. It can make the flow of business smoothly. The company must analyze the company situation. It can be conduct by SWOT analysis such as strength, weakness, opportunities, and how to treat the problem. The company should measure their strength to help the company to serve the company and realize their objective. The internal limitation and negative situational in the company can make the weakness in business marketing. It can be avoid with the external factor that can make the balance in the business. Besides that, the company should analyze the market and marketing environment to find the opportunities and identify the problem. It should be well as current and possible marketing action to identify the opportunities that can be minimize the threat to the company.

The marketing planning involves deciding on marketing strategies that will help the company to attain its overall strategic objective. Marketing plan is needed for each business, product or brand. Marketing strategies consist of specific strategies for target market, positioning the marketing mix, and the market expenditure levels. In addition, the planer  can explain about the how each strategy respond to threat, opportunities, and critical issue that spelled out to earlier in the plan. The last section in the marketing plan is control the monitor progress, measure the return on marketing investment and take corrective action.

The marketing implementation is the process that turns the marketing plan into marketing action to accomplish the strategic marketing objective. The company can have the same strategy with another company.  But, they must change the market objective to make good marketing strategies. Marketing managers can make decision about the target segment, branding, packaging, pricing, promoting, and distributing. They also connect with outside people, such as advertising agencies to plan and campaign to obtain the publicity support.

Lastly, marketing control must be practice to evaluating the result of marketing strategies and plan and taking the corrective action , make sure the objective are attained. The manager must look to the four step of marketing control to archive the goals. Four step is specific the marketing goal, measure the performance in the market, evaluated the cause of difference between expected and actual performance.

3.0 Marketing strategy
Business and marketing are always important in a human life. They are needed the marketing to show a way how to get a successful business. In the business, marketing is an important part in a business plan. Goods are not sold if marketing is not activated. People will do not know about the goods because marketing strategy not influence in the business. Marketing strategy will show you how to get low cost and high profit. it is focusing on organizations goal to lead increase sales and dominance in the business environment. It is determines the choice of target market segment, positioning, marketing mix and allocation resources.

Marketing strategy is a process allows an organization to limit resources on the opportunities to increase sales and sustainable competitive advantage. This process is should use to meet the main goal; customer satisfaction.

This strategy is a method that can focus on organization's energies and resources to increase sales and dominance in a market competition. Product development, promotion, distribution, pricing and relationship management are combined to identify firm's marketing goal. Choice of target market segments, positioning, marketing mix and allocation of resources are determined in the marketing strategy. It can define how the organizations successfully engage customers, prospects and competitors in market arena. Marketing strategy is closely linked wits sales and often to keep marketing in a line with a company's overarching mission statement. Target audience, proposition/key element and implementation are basic theory that usually use in the marketing strategy.

"Use a low cost product to attract to attract consumers". This tactic make marketing plan more effective. Marketing strategies serve as fundamental underpinning to fill market wants and meet marketing objectives. Generally, plans and objectives are tested by measurable results. Advertising, channel marketing, internet marketing, promotion and public relations are various strands of strategy to be orchestrated. Creating strategy tactics in companies will be a strategy goal for the next level or group.

Market dominance strategies have four types; leader, challenger, follower and nicher. Porter generic strategies are strategy based on strategic scope and strategy strength (Porter 1984). Strategic scope is refers to a market penetration while strategic strength is refers to a firm's sustainable competitive advantage. A Porter generic strategy comprises two alternatives scope which Differentiation and low cost leadership each with dimension of Focus-broad or narrow; Product Differentiation (broad), Cost leadership (broad) and Market Segmentation (narrow). Innovation strategies are deal with the organization's rate of the new product development and business model innovation. Three types of innovation strategies are Pioneers, close followers and late followers. Growth strategies are related with question; "How should the firm grow?" The common answers are horizontal integration, vertical integration, diversification and intensification. Marketing warfare strategies draw parallels between military strategies and marketing strategies. These all above are types of marketing strategy.

4.0 Marketing Planning In Build Customer Relationship
Business strategic plan establishes to what kind of business company want to operate, each business department must be operate detail planning. Major department in business Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, Operation, Human resource and other must work together to achieve an organization goal.

Marketing in business must play a role in the company strategic planning; however there are two ways in strategic planning.
      I.        Marketing in business need to provide marketing concept that suggest to company strategic revolve building profitable relationship with group of customers.
II.        Marketing provides inputs to strategic planning by help identify market opportunity on customer and take advantage from them.

In customer relationship management, the business must practice to build a customer relationship, they must work closely with their partner to get effective value chain when serve the customer.
Each company department can be as link in company. So each department carries out value creating with customer, produce, market and delivery to each store. An example, Nestle Company in Malaysia goal is to create customer value and satisfaction by providing shopper or store shop with their product at the lowest price; they also learn what customer need.

A company value chain is only strong as it weakest link. Success depends on how well each department performs it work of adding customer value and various activities. Marketing department must find way to get all department to think customer and to develop a smoothly function value chain. To create customer value, the business needs to look beyond its own value chain and into the value chain through supplier, distributor and customer. As an example, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), KFC nearly over 4000 restaurants in Malaysia and serve more than 3 million customer daily and they capturing over 60% of the Fried chicken market. People do not swarm to KFC because they love the chain of fried chicken. They customer typically rank KFC behind other fast food company such as McDonald, Fried chicken world and others.

INTRODUCTION TO MARKETING

Several definitions for marketing have been proposed for the term marketing and for each tends have been emphasize different issues. Memorizing a definition is unlikely to be useful and ultimately, it makes more sense to thinking of ways to benefit from creating customer value in the most effective way, either subject to ethical and other constraints that one may have. The 2006 and 2007 definitions offered by the American Marketing Association are relatively similar, with the 2007 appearing a bit more concise. Note that the definitions make several points:
  • A main objective of marketing is to create customer value.
  • Marketing usually involves an exchange between buyers and sellers or between other parties.
  • Marketing has an impact on the firm, its suppliers, its customers, and others affected by the firm’s choices.
  • Marketing frequently involves enduring relationships between buyers, sellers, and other parties.
  • Processes involved include “creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings.
Delivering customer value is the central idea behind marketing that a firm or other entity will create something of value to one or more customers who are willing to pay enough or contribute other forms of value to make the venture worthwhile considering opportunity costs. Value can be created in a number of different ways. For example, some firms manufacture basic products (bricks) but provide relatively little value above that. For the other firms make products whose tangible value is supplemented by services (a computer manufacturer provides a computer loaded with software and provides a warranty, technical support, and software updates). It is not necessary for a firm to physically handle a product to add value. For examples, online airline reservation systems add value by compiling information about available flight connections and fares, allowing the customer to buy a ticket, forwarding billing information to the airline, and forwarding reservation information to the customer.
The marketing and the selling concept are two approaches that exist in marketing. The traditional selling concept emphasizes selling existing products. The philosophy here is that if a product is not selling, more aggressive measures must be taken to sell it, for example, cutting price, increase the advertising or hiring more aggressive and obnoxious sales-people. When the railroads started to lose business due to the advent of more effective trucks that could deliver goods right to the customer’s door, the railroads cut prices instead of recognizing that the customers ultimately wanted transportation of goods, not necessarily railroad transportation. In contrast for the marketing concept is focuses on getting consumers what they seek, regardless of whether this entails coming up with entirely new products.
The 4 Ps (product, place, promotion, price) represent for the variables that are within the control of the firm at least in the medium to long run. In contrast, the firm is faced with uncertainty from the environment.

COULD THE WORLD BE FREE FROM MARKETING?
In our opinion we think that marketing is important. As we study, we had learn that many of the   business were used marketing in their organization to make their business success. Production and distribution depend mostly on marketing. Many people think that sales and marketing are basically the same. These two concepts are different in many aspects where marketing covers advertising, promotions, public relations, and sales while sales refer to the act of buying or the actual transaction of customers purchasing the product or service. For the marketing concept, it is the process of introducing and promoting the product or service into the market and encourages sales from the buying public.
The objective of marketing is to make the product or service widely known and recognized to the market. Marketers must be creative in their marketing activities. In this competitive nature of many businesses, getting the product noticed is not that easy. Strategically, the business must be focus on the customers more than the products. Although good and quality products are also essential, the buying public still has their personal preferences. If you target more of their needs, they will come back again and again and even bring along recruits. If you push more on the product and disregard their wants and the benefits they can get, you will lose your customers in no time. The sad thing is that getting them back is the hardest part.

IMPORTANCES OF MARKETING IN OUR WORLD
Marketing have many important in this world and in the other hand, we can say that it commonly use in our daily life. Below are some important of marketing that we had observed:
1)      Marketing Promotes Product Awareness to the Public
By using marketing, marketer can introduce their product to public. No business in this world that not use marketing concepts to introduce their new product. if they just letting the people find out about the business themselves, the business will not be success as the other business that use marketing to publish their product because  if we use marketing concept, people can know about our product quickly unless they have already established a reputation in the industry.
Basically for the start-out company, the first step to let people know about the business is by using advertising and promotion. The business may be spending on the advertising and promotional programs but the important thing is that product and company information is announced to the buying public.
There are various types of marketing approaches that can be utilized by an organization. All forms of marketing promote the product awareness to the market at large. A company must invest in marketing so as not to miss the opportunity of being discovered. If expense is to be considered, there are cost-effective marketing techniques a company can embark on such as pay-per-click ads and blogging.
2)      Marketing Helps Boost Product Sales
By using marketing concept, the sales and revenue of company’s product or service will boost growth. Through TV, advertisements, radio commercials, newspaper, online, and other forms of marketing, product will sales once the public learns about the product. The more people hear and see more of your advertisements, the more they will be interested to buy. The marketing department must be able to come up with the effective and strategic marketing plans if the company aims to increase the sales percentage and double the production.
3)      Marketing Builds Company Reputation
By use the marketing techniques to publish the product such as use images, logo, or caption that customer hear and see in the advertisements, customer can easily to remember about the brand name. Brand name is important to make people recognize about the company and product. For example, Kentucky Fried Chicken is known by people as ‘KFC’. People can know the short form of KFC because of their good marketing concept. . For some companies, building a reputation to the public may take time but there are those who easily attract the people.

4)      Marketing can help to identify the needs and wants of the customers.
Marketing is to promoting a product or service in such a way that causes potential customers or prospects to want to hear about what have to offer. To define the needs and wants we need to promote and provide information of the product or service. By using network way to provides more valuable information. The more helpful and valuable your information is the greater the chance those customers will purchase.
Marketing is the process whereby demands for products, services and ideas are anticipated, managed and satisfied. Make a research according to the marketplace behavior of competitors and consumers and then designing product, promotion, pricing and distribution strategies that will be accepted in the marketplace. This is about acquiring and retaining customers for products and services by delivering customer value.

CONCLUSION
As the conclusion, we think that global need the marketing plan. The marketing plan is essential to any successful business. It is the heart of the business, the basis from which all other operational and management plans are derived. Besides that, marketing offers a wealth of information that if applied correctly virtually can ensure the success.
An effective marketing plan will certainly boost the sales and increase the profit margins. We  must be able to convince customers that we have the best product or service for them at the best possible price. If we cannot convince potential customers of this, then we are wasting our time and money. This is where the marketing plan comes into play and this is why it is so important.
There are numerous advantages that we can extract from the marketplace if we know how to manage the marketing plan. It is an excellent tool for identifying and developing strategies for extracting these advantages.

A POLITICIAN CAN MARKET HIMSELF USING MARKETING THEORIES. TRUE
Introduction
There a lot of definition of marketing. However it can focus upon customer orientation and satisfaction of customer needs. Besides that, Kotler also said marketing is the social process by which individuals and groups obtain what they need and want through creating and exchanging products and value with others. Based on the above statement, the marketing is related to the politician who promoted himself to be selected as the best candidate to face an election. Politicians will be very hard to convince people sonny that may be the choice of the voters by Promising Promises and a variety of rewards if they are selected later.
So, the concept of marketing is needed by politicians to promote themselves. A marketing concept embraces the philosophy that good marketing strategy always has the needs and wants of the target market in mind. Marketing concepts are formed as creative approaches to the problem of how to get a product needed and desired by a group of consumers to be selected and purchased by this group. The crux of good marketing is being able to communicate the benefits of the products to consumers so that they will choose the product over competitors' offerings. This will be done by a politician in which they will try to be as required by voters who will vote for them and the voters will benefit from the vote.
There a lot of factor why the politician need to market himself using marketing theories such as to analyze whether the people like them or not. Another factor is they can understand the strength and analyzing weakness himself. By using the marketing theories there have some effect to politicians during promoted themselves. The effect like people may know who is their leader in the area and in the country, a politician may selected by people through their behavior and characteristic and many more. So, marketing and politicians are intertwined with each other where they need each other so that the politicians are able to received by the public.
Factors of a politician market himself using marketing theories
A politician can market himself using marketing theories because of the marketing not for market the product only but marketing is more than any other function. Firstly, politician should analysis the environment which should find the opportunities which mean find which the people like or not. Then, to avoiding the threat he should find the safety way to prevent from any problem when the voting day. Next, he should understanding the strength and analyzing weakness himself.
Secondly, after analysis the politician should planning which mean marketing plans includes executive summary, analysis of current situation, objectives, targets and positioning, marketing mix, budget and control. For the executive summary the politician should tell the people in general are like a manifesto which the politician gives the explanation to the people. Then, analysis the current situation which is the environments of the politic is stable or not such as at Egypt the political not stable because of their president and the objectives of the planning. Next, target and positioning which mean the politician should target people such as the salesman target the customer to sell the product. The politician should have the budget to market himself because promotion need invest a lot of money for marketing.
After that, the politician should implementation as a marketing effort to market himself which mean the implementation turned the plans into action activities. For example, the company plan what the product they want to sell and after that they implementation their planning. Then, the politician in this effort they have many challenges such as have some people do not like himself and some of the people like. Next, the politician should have the solution how to prevent the problem such as give the benefit to the people. For example, Prime Minister, Najib Tun Razak gives the incentive to the people to get the higher vote from the people.
Lastly, the politician should control the marketing effort after the implementation. The control mean the politician control what their implementation before. For example, the company needs to control the process after the implementation. In the business the company need control many things such as people, process and others. It same the politician, they need control people in their area if have the problem because the politician is the leader. The leader should take care of the people below him to get reliable from the people. Besides that, this give the advantage to him to stay longer as the politician in the area.

Effect of a politician market himself using marketing theories.
A politician can market himself using the marketing theories. It is a true statement that we can see the effect which a politician promotes himself to people. There are a lot of effects that we can identify through the marketing theories. First point of the effect is people may know who is their leader in the area and in the country. If the politicians not do so people may don’t know who is actually for their leader in the area. So it makes people difficult to make any suggestion for the growth and development of the area and people also may don’t know to whom they should tell about their problem if their area has problem. So by marketing theories politician can promote himself so that people around the area trust to him.
Other than that politician also may often in people heart if they always try to market their self by get know about the problem of people around them. As a politician they should go through to the people so that people always make you as a role model. But to be a good a politician they must avoid doing something that might spoil their name. People always remember about their previous case if they have done something bad before this. So even a politician can market their self properly but with the case its quite hard for politician to get their trusting and win their heart back.
The other point of the effect is a politician may selected by people through their behavior and characteristic. People may select a leader who has a good personality to act their leader. It can be seen obviously during the election. All the politicians trying to sell their self by marketing theories. They promote their self to get the winning in the election. They might do anything to attract people to select them as the leader. By the situation a politician may use the manifesto to get the people.
Besides that a politician will be selected by the leader of government to hold the position in the cabinet. But to get the position a politician must use a good way and make sure that there have nothing of corruption or breach of trust during the selection. To lobby the prime minister is one of the way how to get the position but they should know the advantages and disadvantages if they use the way. They have to be aware so that people not misunderstanding to them. So by marketing theories it will give a lot of good effects to a politician to market their self to people and to the prime minister. If they does not promote their self it will make difficult to them to be more closer with the people and supreme council.

Conclusion
The marketing theories can be used not only to sell or promote products, but it can be used to politician market himself. A politician can market himself to peoples using this marketing theories and they can promote on their ability to lead peoples in an areas of gently. In marketing theories, a politician can promote himself same with business peoples to promote their products for sale. The business peoples must be convince the consumers or customers about the quality of their products. As well as a politician, he must convince the peoples about the his ability to lead and increase economic. Additionally, the various factors of a politician market himself using the marketing theories and any effects of a politician market himself using marketing theories. A politician market or promote himself using marketing theories can give effects to peoples may know who is their leader in the area and in the country. Beside that, this situation also can give goods effects to economy in country and peace and prosperity of the country. So, as a conclusion the statement a politician can market himself using marketing theories is this statement is true and appropriate. This statement has been proved due to various factors and it also gives the goods impression to all.
